I was born in Scotland but spent my later teens living in England. I went to film school for 3 years and in my final year specialized in Production Design. I became good friends with a visiting Art Director who gave me some contacts in the industry and before i had graduated I had started working on commercials and music videos which offered me a great training ground and i got to work with award winning designers.
Over the years I then worked my way up in the department eventually leaving the UK and moving to Vancouver. From film school Ive never forgotten all the other roles that come together to make a movie or tv production and the empathy for others means i have a greater understanding of the big picture.
I love bringing stories to life by creating immersive worlds in film and TV. I focus on the details—making sure every single element on set adds something meaningful to the story and supports the overall look of the scene. Working really well with directors and cinematographers to align the vision. I imagine the set in shots and build sets or pick locations that add depth, texture and opportunities to each scene.
I’m comfortable working across different genres, which lets me adapt my design to fit the tone and feel of each project. My goal is to create spaces that truly connect and enhance the storytelling. Whether it’s color, texture, or set design, I’m committed to elevating the overall look while staying true to character, context, and budget.
